All Saints Parade

From the first centuries after Christ, Christians who died a martyr’s death were considered saints, who live in God’s presence forever. Every year, on the anniversary of the martyrs’ deaths, Christians would visit their tombs and celebrate the Eucharist. This practice grew throughout the centuries to include remembering other outstanding Christians on the days they died. Soon the entire calendar was filled with memorials of the saints. In the ninth century, Pope Gregory IV designated November 1 as the day to remember all the saints living in God’s presence.

As part of our formation, we want our children to be familiar with the Saints, primarily we want them to understand that we can all be SAINTS.

Therefore, we will have our second parade of All Saints this November 9.

We want to honor those people who, by listening to the voice of God and keeping the commandments, now share His Glory.

For this, if you wish come dress as your favorite saint or make a poster and share his/her story with your classmates.

Feel free to be creative and show us your favorite Saint through drawings, sculpture, music/dance, food, etc. don’t be shy impress us!!!

This parade will take place in class hours, feel free to come and see our little saints as they make the way from the classrooms to the parking lot.

Everyone is welcome. Take into consideration our photos/video rules (no sharing on social media without the other parents authorization).
