Baptism

Non-baptized youth, ages 7-12, may enroll in our Faith Formation program.  This program will help prepare your children for the Sacrament of Baptism.  If your child has been baptized in another Christian tradition, this initiation process prepares them to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church by celebrating the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Holy Communion and Confirmation.  This program begins in September.

Eucharist

Requires two years of preparation through participation in Faith Formation in elementary school grades.  Children receive 1st Reconciliation and 1st Communion in their 2nd year of preparation.

First Communion Retreat

As part of the Sacramental preparation program, the children gain a deeper respect and appreciation of the Eucharist during this retreat.

Continue Faith Formation

It’s not uncommon for students and parents going through the First Communion process to fall into the mindset that First Communion is the last step of their religious education until they reach the age of Confirmation, and after which they “graduate” from having to be involved in the Church (or even having to attend Mass at all!).
For those whose formation classes may be done, it is important to realize that your catechesis will never end. You will continue to be filled with questions, and your faith will grow by leaps and bounds if you respond with an eager pursuit of the answers. You can spend your entire life studying and reflecting on the faith.  As you grow older, you will discover more about yourself, your relationships, your God-given desires, and God himself. And you have a guide and helper dwelling inside you—the Holy Spirit.

Family
Formation

Family Formation is designed to help parents respond to the Church's call to be "the first and foremost educators of their children"* and to help families grow in the transforming love of God by understanding and living the Catholic Faith.

Family Formation equips parents to pass on the Catholic Faith to their children enabling them to grow in their faith together as a family.

Too often we try to live a faith we don't know or understand. Some of us stumble along with it, going through the motions. Others simply walk away.

Take to heart these words which I enjoin on you today. Drill them into your children. Speak of them at home and abroad, whether you are busy or at rest. Bind them at your wrist as a sign and let them be as a pendant on your forehead. Write them on the doorposts of your houses and on your gates. Deuteronomy 6:6-9
